Real Time Online Live Classes

Taught on zoom Monday and Thursday mornings at 8:30 EST

Start your morning with a cheerful class. All levels. Works best to listen to the playlist on one device and zoom on another. You can make this your workout since strength work is incorporated in the normal asana poses. Sometimes practicing in your PJ’s in your bedroom is the best way to make sure your practice happens. Meditation included and guided relaxation at the end of class will leave you with a calm mind and healthy body. Link provided in a weekly email.

Classes are offered on a donation basis. $1-$25. Please don’t let money be the reason you don’t practice. It all works out.

Yoga for Athletes

Looking to challenge your team to build their core, work on balance and give them the tools to maintain their cool when facing tough opponents? I love working with teams of children, teens and adults. I’ve taught everyone from varsity football players to olympic trial swimmers to little girls lacrosse players. This can be a great gift for your team and a nice addition for coaches to add to a training regimen. Whether they need strong body training and stretching for injury prevention or deserve a well earned deep relaxation, I can fit class to their needs. I’m always amazed at how well athletes sink into guided deep relaxation and at how they take mindfulness to their athletics. From a swimmer on the block having to hold perfectly still, a lacrosse face off, to a contact sport athlete who can hit hit hit- then has to stop on a dime when the play ends, our athletes need yoga!

Corporate and Convention Yoga

From online chair yoga for busy defense attorneys to group convention yoga at The Homestead Resort, class can be customized to fit the needs of your group. Class can be offered at your facility or at my studio space.

Read about what others have to say about corporate and convention yoga here.

FAQ

  • A yoga mat, some water, something to cover your eyes with at the end of class - a wash cloth works well. A light hearted attitude and a commitment to not take what you look like too seriously. We are all just making shapes with our bodies on a mat in dim lighting. Fall out a balance pose? No problem. You’re not a flamingo and your self worth (hopefully) isn’t linked to how well you look like one.

  • Something comfortable. Tight yoga pants can really ruin your shanti (Peace). Trust me. Bring a light layer so that you can warm up in it, take it off like Superman when you work up a sweat and then wrap back up for savasana (guided deep relaxation) at the end of class. Bare feet are best, but socks with grippy spots on the bottom also work. Try to avoid strong scents. Some students are sensitive.

  • Then you are probably more relaxed than everyone else and the other students don’t mind. Sounds happen all the time during yoga classes and this is natural. Don’t sweat it. Anyone with a regular yoga practice has had it happen to them. The most common embarrassing item is that students regularly have their pants on inside out.

  • Yes and No. If you can focus on what feels good for your body, yes. I like to think of it as Goldilocks yoga. If you are floating through class with zero effort you might want to warm it up a bit. If it feels dangerously hot and out of balance, bring it back to baby bear level. If we are doing something that doesn’t work for your body, child’s pose, down dog or a pose of your choice is an option. If you need more physical work, through in a few vinyasa flows - just not during meditation please.

  • I never care on Online Zoom yoga. Sign in whenever or for whatever length works for you.

In person classes at the CAC I also don’t care, but since it is a school facility we have to close the front door by 8:15am. If you get there and see someone that will let you in, knock away and join us.

  • Like or love them? Take a shell from the basket at the door and put it at the top of your mat and I’ll rub your shoulders in child’s pose, help you remember to relax them during warrior 2 and your feet in deep relaxation. Not your jam? Don’t pick up the shell. If you have an injury, please let me know.

  • Soon. The website almost did me in folks. Sweats, tees and even some comfy yoga pants.
